Meet the Partners
Deborah Dameron (The Tax Lady) considers herself a local Virginian even though she was born in San Antonio, Texas and spent six (6) years in Heidelberg Germany. She has been a resident of Virginia since she was 6 years old and graduated from Stafford Senior High School in 1980. She is a graduate of Computer Leaning Center (1981, with honors), where she studied computer programming. She then attended Mary Washington College and chose marriage and four (4) amazing sons instead of completing her B.S. in Computer Science. In the early 90's, she began her career in taxes with a job at Intuit, where she provided tech support for individual/business professional tax software. She was on the UTH test team, which was electronic filing in its infancy, and then she was chosen for Intuit's insurance website development team (she passed the VA state board test and obtained her life/health/property/casualty licenses). In 1998, she began preparing taxes for one of the largest national tax preparation chains, and was promoted to supervisor in 2002. She opened and managed her first kiosk in 2004 (eventually there where 3 kiosk locations which the Franchise owner closed in August 2013), and became Franchise Manager of her own office in 2007. Her forte is bringing individual and/or businesses into IRS/state compliance and/or assisting clients to remove leins and/or levies on pay or property. She concentrates on educating clients on their unique tax situations. In 2001, she began her private practice, The Tax Lady, and in October of 2013 left the national chain and formed a new partnership, AAA Tax Plus LLC, to provide a more affordable and customer conscious tax service for indivuals and/or small businesses. Her goal for 2016 is to pass the EA exam which will give her the ability to represent her clients before the Federal tax courts. In addition to her four amazing sons, she has 2 grandsons and a granddaughter. Deborah is a registered tax return preparer (RTRP) with the IRS and a notary public.
